This will boggle your mind, I know it did mine!

The year is 1909.

One hundred years ago.

What a difference a century makes!

Here are some statistics for the Year 1909 :

The average life expectancy was 47 years.
fuel for this car was sold in drug stores only

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles
Of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!

The average wage in 1909 was 22 cents per hour.

The average worker made between $200 and $400 per year ...

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,
A veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.
More than 95 percent of all births took place at HOME .

Ninety percent of all doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION!
Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which
Were condemned in the press AND the government as 'substandard. '

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used
Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from
Entering into their country for any reason.

Five leading causes of death were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars.

The population of Las Vegas, Nevada, was only 30!!!!

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced tea Hadn't been invented yet.

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.
Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write and
Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school..


Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacists said, 'Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind,regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health'

Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic help.

There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE ! U.S.A..!
Plus one more sad thought; 95 percent of the taxes we have now did not exist in 1909

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day
checking his Computer

John decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals

Letter to Senator Carl Levin

Mr Senator
You started your hearing about Tax Haven Banks by opposing American values like freedom and democracy to Swiss bank secrecy. I presume that a US senator is not a stupid man, otherwise I wouldn’t write to you. But your statement shows, that you are not informed about Switzerland. For this reason I venture to explain you some of our Swiss values. Switzerland stands for democracy, civil rights, individual rights, civism and freedom. We don’t speak about, but we exercise these values.
We don’t attack other countries, we don’t extort by force information from other countries or institutions or companies. We don’t use our power to tyrannize others and we respect the Laws of other countries. We are a small country, which could be example for a lot of others, specially for US government. People in Switzerland have all the same rights, and we don’t make any difference between our citizens and visitors in our country. In our country the political power belongs to the citizens, therefore they are respected, have right of data protection and have all medical protection and pension fund. Our political will is the expression from the citizens not from the government. Democracy respects minorities and by the same way other nations, even if they are smaller than USA.
Swiss people believed in US economy and trusted to US institutions. Therefore they took a big share of the world contribution in financing US deficits. By doing this, we lost a lot of money, which we invested in your country. A lot of money was lost by fraud, committed by US institutions and citizens. Only for this reason, time has come, that US authorities apologize for these cheating, which seem to be usual in your country.
US business policy had also corrupted several of our greedy bankers, which forgot our Swiss values by following blindly the US proceedings. When these people tried to earn more money by attracting US money, they always had on the other part a US citizen, which wanted to hide money. The very question is not the Swiss bank secrecy, but why US citizens don’t trust to their government.
Swiss bank secrecy was established to protect Jewish people from Nazi persecution. I think specially you should be thankful for this.

Piraten

In letzter Zeit kann man viel lesen über somalische Piraten, welche durch die Kaperung von Schiffen Lösegeldforderung erpressen. Alle sind sich einig, dass man solches Tun nicht akzeptieren kann. Doch es gibt Piraten, welche genau gleich handeln, jedoch nicht verurteilt werden. Wenn jüdische Organisationen von Schweizer Banken mit fadenscheinigen Behauptungen Geld erpressen, wenn Amerika mit unbelegten Behauptungen ein ölreiches Land besetzt, weil es die USA anscheinend bedrohte, wenn Anlageberater die Dummheit ihrer Kunden ausnutzen, um zu Geldern zu kommen, dann sind das Piratenakte.
Die USA, als selbst ernannter Wächter über die Weltordnung, haben während Jahren ihre Defizite durch andere Länder finanzieren lassen. Selbst schuld könnte man sagen für die armen Dummen. Sie hätten es wissen müssen, sind jedoch auf die Versprechungen von hohen Gewinnen hereingefallen. Als ganz spezielle Verhöhnung des Betrogenen müssen jedoch all die Klagen empfunden werden, mit denen ausländische Geldinstitute, welche bereits mit ihren USA-Geschäften erhebliche Verluste einfahren mussten, noch zusätzlich zur Kasse gebeten werden sollen.
Jedes Mal, wenn der Stärkere die Schwäche eines anderen ausnutzt, dann benimmt er sich wie ein Pirat.

USA Schurkenstaat

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich so einen Titel einmal schreiben würde. Von Kind an war ich geprägt durch den american way of life. Die Amerikaner, welche uns zu Hause besuchten, waren viel sympathischer, als die anderen Ausländer, ich mag amerikanische Produkte und Filme.
Die ersten Zweifel begannen, als die amerikanischen Juden uns mit Hilfe von amerikanischen Gerichten erpressen konnten. Seit Bush jun. spielen die USA ihre Macht völlig schamlos aus und attackieren und erpressen andere Staaten mit fadenscheinigen Vorwänden.
Als Tourist wird man von den Einreisebehörden wie Dreck behandelt. Nicht-Amerikaner sind vor dem Recht nicht gleichgestellt, wie die USA-Bürger. Schon das lässt auf ein sonderbares Rechtsempfinden schliessen.
Nun müssen die Schweizer unter amerikanischen Druck ihr nationales Recht biegen, und einmal mehr muss die UBS bluten. Dabei liessen sich die Amerikaner während Jahren ihre Defizite durch die Ausländer finanzieren und anstatt sich zu entschuldigen, wird nun mit Gerichten versucht, noch mehr Geld aus dem Ausland herauszupressen.
Die Reaktion darauf drängt sich auf. Keine Geschäfte mehr mit den USA. Boykottiert amerikanische Produkte. Boykottiert amerikanische Politik in der UNO. Ami go home!
